Ernst & Young audit the financial statements for the Portfolios. Additionally, their role includes auditing the register of investors annually and the summary financial statements for the Portfolios which are included in the prospectus.

Lawyers

Our internal legal team consists of two qualified solicitors. Our primary legal obligations centre around offering securities to the public and the various requirements in the Securities Act 1978, the Securities Regulations 2009, the Financial Reporting Act 1993, the KiwiSaver Act 2006, the Fair Trading Act 1996 and other legislation.

Tax

We have senior internal tax capability. In addition, we have close relationships with external tax advisers in both New Zealand and Australia.

Our team was involved with both IRD Policy Advice Division and the New Zealand Treasury in the taxation reform which led to the introduction of the Portfolio Investment Entity (PIE) tax regime.
