Where practicalities dictate that those skills lie outside the in-house capacity of the organisation, NZ Funds Management prides itself on its ability to select and manage highly capable managers from around the world.
Commodity Strategies
Commodity Strategies was established in 1999 as a specialist commodities manager. In December 1999 they launched a active long-only fund that gave investors exposure to commodity markets.
Initially based in New Zealand and Australia, to attract a wider investor base, Commodity Strategies has recently opened an office in Switzerland.
Commodity Strategies active long-only strategy has a broad range of commodities exposure including energy, metal, grains and agricultural commodity sectors. Its performance is benchmarked against the Reuters/Jefferies CRB Total Return Index.
The long-only strategy does not use leverage and will move between commodities and cash depending on the forecasted return of each commodity.
