Adrian Hansen

Biography

Adrian joined NZ Funds Management in 2004 and is involved in creating systems around the trading and risk control areas of investment.

Prior to joining NZ Funds Management, Adrian worked in Information Technology developing database solutions for a variety of companies in London and Auckland. Adrian studied at The University of Auckland where he gained a first class honours in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, he is also qualified as a Microsoft Certified Database Administrator and is currently studying towards his CFA.

Approach

My approach to investment systems is to provide solutions that are robust, accurate and well thought out.  The extra time spent with such a philosophy pays off heavily with lack of rework in later stages.  I learnt early on in my career that it is far better to be working on a project in your own time, rather than someone else’s troubleshooting issues.
 
I am a strong believer in value based investing, particularly at the macro level, as well as using good quantitative analysis to back up fundamental research.
