Biography


Alisdair joined NZ Funds Management in 2008 and today is responsible for the development of communications and marketing. Prior to joining NZ Funds Management, Alisdair did a consumer marketing internship working with the Starbucks brand team at Restaurant Brands New Zealand.

Approach


The rise of digital media has brought marketing and communications to a breakpoint. This break point has lead to change more far reaching than simply a change in medium. It has lead to widespread change in consumer expectations. People now expect businesses to engage with them and provide solutions that are tailored to their needs rather than ‘the one solution fits all’ approach that they have accepted in the past.


The combined knowledge and experience of our senior management has allowed NZ Funds Management to have the confidence to listen to our clients and have the agility as a business to respond to this changing environment.  


This approach has lead to the development of our Goal-Based advice process and portfolios, which we have developed from extensive research into how we can match our entire wealth management business with client needs. More recently, our Portfolio Insights have led the market in providing, in my view, a level of transparency unparalleled in New Zealand.


My role at NZ Funds Management is to contribute to the continuation of this process. My focus is to ensure that we combine the extensive experience of our team with the conversations we have with clients, to create a marketing and communications framework that our clients engage with, understand and as a result have a high quality experience.
