Biography
Phil joined NZ Funds in 2005 and today is responsible for the development of NZ Funds’ relationships with financial advisers across the country. Prior to joining NZ Funds Phil had spent over 18 years in the banking and finance sector with Rural Bank in the early part of his career, and then Westpac where he held  executive and General Management roles.

Approach
NZ Funds has grown over the years from small beginnings to an organisation of substance, but not one that has lost its sense of where it has come from, how it has grown and the central role its relationships with advisers and their clients have played in its development as a business. Its experiences as a firm are ones it shares willingly in support of advisers as they seek to grow their businesses.

My rural “roots” and involvement with large companies and their clients, has provided me with experiences both varied and challenging over the years (as has raising two daughters – still a work in progress!).  It’s these experiences, coupled with the capabilities of NZ Funds that I seek to apply as I work with advisers to assist them to establish a strong foundation for growth, help them to establish and develop enduring relationships with their clients and then support them as they develop their business to the next level.  

The environment is challenging and yet the need for New Zealanders to be able to access high quality guidance and counsel as to how they define and then achieve their financial goals has never been greater. It's exiciting to be in a position to contribute to advisers building quality businesses where their clients have a personalised strategy that they really understand, and which will enable them to achieve their goals.
