Biography
Tony joined the NZ Funds Management team in 2006 as Financial Controller. He is responsible for both the portfolio and corporate accounting teams.
For eight years prior to joining NZ Funds Management, he worked predominately as a financial controller within various financial services entities in New Zealand, United Kingdom and Ireland. He also spent six years as a Chartered Accountant at KPMG.
Approach
NZ Funds Management has the privilege of advising and assisting our clients to achieve their financial goals. My approach to my role as Financial Controller is to use my years of experience within a variety of large international financial organisations to help NZ Funds Management achieve this goal.
Specifically I have learnt the importance of reducing complexity and striving to keep things simple. This is especially important within this highly regulated, complex, and constantly changing industry. For me this means continually seeking to improve the way we think and do things, ensuring we follow and implement best practices and having the speed and flexibility to adapt quickly to changes in accounting, taxation and other circumstances.
It is about creating an organisation, such as NZ Funds Management, which is built on robust, efficient and innovative practices. Thereby, allowing each team members to focus on their individual roles within our company, ultimately resulting in the best outcomes for our clients.
